Rachel discovered her passion for veterinary medicine in 2018 as a Companion Animal Manager at Petco. She then became a receptionist at a veterinary hospital, then quickly moved up to the role of veterinary assistant, and then she studied to become a veterinary technician receiving her Veterinary Technician license in 2021. For Rachel, being the lead veterinary technician means advocating for both the patients and her team. Her daily duties include anything from dental scaling and polishing, monitoring anesthesia, performing routine annual bloodwork, and so much more. Rachel’s favorite thing about veterinary medicine is being able to help clients better understand how to take care of their beloved pets and to help those pets become their most happy and healthy selves! Outside of work, Rachel enjoys reading, going to festivals and concerts, playing the occasional video game, and cuddling with her 24 lb cat Mickey.
