Maritza Nelson

Born in Santiago, Chile, and raised in California, Maritza has always had a love for animals, especially dogs! Maritza joined the Renton Veterinary Hospital family in October of 2023. She comes from 9 years of working in the veterinary and animal care industry, including managing veterinary practices in Washington for small animals and exotic pets. After working as a Client Service Representative and Veterinary Assistant, she worked her way up to leadership roles and management. Her goal is to provide her staff with a nurturing environment where they feel cared for, heard, and can grow! With experience working for the Walt Disney Company at the Disneyland Resort in Anahiem, CA, Maritza has high expectations for customer service for her team and is always open to hearing feedback from clients on ways to improve! Having 3 dogs herself, the quality of patient care is of the utmost importance. She finds it invaluable to put herself in the shoes of the clients as a pet owner to ensure the team and clinic are exceeding standards.
