Urgent Care

We are here when you need us! Your dog or cat shouldn’t have to wait to feel better. We can provide prompt comfort and relief for conditions that aren’t serious enough for an emergency hospital, but are too pressing to wait for an appointment the next business day.

Urgent care is appropriate for non-life threatening conditions that cannot wait, but do not require emergency treatment and hospitalization.

Why pay for an emergency room visit if it’s not necessary?
We save a number of same-day Urgent Care spots in our appointment schedule every day. If your pet is experiencing an urgent situation, please give us a call and we’ll do our very best to work you into our schedule.

We are here to provide immediate relief for the any of the following:

  • Minor lacerations, wounds or burns
  • Skin or nail problems
  • Asthma or allergic reactions
  • Scooting or licking
  • Limping or lameness
  • Ear infections– discharge, pain, odor, scratching, or shaking
  • Eye problems – swelling, discharge, redness
  • Urinary tract infections
  • Coughing, sneezing
  • Mild to moderate vomiting or diarrhea
  • Mild constipation
  • Change in urine color, frequency, or amount
  • Blood in urine or stool
  • Straining to urinate, dribbling urine
  • Change in amount of food or water intake
  • Intestinal parasites
  • Lumps or bumps
  • Tick diseases
  • Mouth pain or bad breath
  • Evidence of worms or fleas
  • We are available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen by a veterinarian. Or – you just want to know your beloved friend is ok.
We provide many health services for your pet. Bring your pet in today, or call with your questions.

Important and what we can’t do!
We can’t keep your pet for overnight stays, and we’re not equipped to handle cases that require hospitalization or advanced surgical care. If we diagnose a serious condition, we’ll discuss other options with you, including the possible need for an immediate transfer to a 24-hour emergency hospital. A patient seen on Urgent Care requiring emergency care will be transferred immediately to Emergency Status or referred to a 24-hour veterinary specialty hospital.

    * Medical emergencies can include, but are not limited to, conditions such as:

  • Difficulty or irregular breathing
  • Weakness or collapse
  • Broken bones
  • Trauma (hit by care, fall, gunshot wound, burns)
  • Prolonged or multiple seizure
  • Poison exposure
  • Eating a foreign object
  • Significant bleeding
  • Paralysis
  • High fever
  • Significant blood loss
  • Significant wounds
  • Repeated vomiting
  • Inability to urinate or defecate
  • These are medical emergencies and should be seen immediately in our hospital or a 24-hour veterinary referral hospital. When in doubt, give us a call @ 425-255-8676 and we can discuss and guide you!
